Strategic Procurement

Working on behalf of PX Engineering under an EPC Contract.

PX Engineering are providing the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management for a new 66kV Infrastructure Project based on Teesside Gas Process Plant (TGPP), Seal Sands - Teesside.
The project value is approximately £16m and to be completed over an approximate schedule of 18 months.

About the Project

Johnson Procurement Solutions Limited have been contracted by PX Engineering to provide Project Procurement , Past Contract and Commercial Services Support. The project included, multiple stakeholders – such as NSMP, INEOS & TGPP.

JPS Project Procurement Support...

-Developed the main contract documents for the project, using the NEC3 Option A.

-Development of a Procurement Strategy specifically for the project.

-Working with PX Engineering’s existing procurement department established list of vendors for all key equipment, contractors required for the project packages.

-Compiled and issued all Invitation to Tender documentation in line with the client and project requirements. Managed all bid reviews with the project team and successfully negotiated all project contractual terms to ensure suitable credit terms and risks mitigated.

-Developed and managed the daily procurement schedule to ensure, Equipment and contract packages were placed within the project forecasted timescales.

-Produced weekly reporting for the project senior management team. Detailing all procurement activities within the period and highlighting all potential areas of risk or concern to the project.

-Provided post-contract commercial management support (QS) for the duration of the project. Managing contractor payments, agreement of variations, final accounts and end of life forecasting.
